Jonathan Milne (Jono) has won a bronze medal at the Paralympic Games in Rio.
This is the first time a Australian Paralympian archer has obtained a medal in 32 years. Around 80 club members from Sydney Olympic Park Archers gave Jono a heroes welcome when he returned to the club yesterday and was presented with a life membership. SOPA's head coach Ricci Cheah said Jono was already about to start training for Tokyo in order to obtain the gold medal he nearly won in Rio. Jono missed only by one point in advancing to the Gold medal match.
Jono has received huge support from his club and WAA and has already inspired others with disabilities to take up a bow.
